Hi, I’m Mohsin Ali Ahmad — the person behind zaroraterishta.com.
Welcome to Zaroraterishta! In my culture, ‘Rishta’ represents family, bonds, and deep connections. To me, there is no better way to bring family and loved ones together than through a comforting, home-cooked meal. That is why I created this space-to share my tested recipes like fresh summer salads, homemade jams, and cozy pasta dishes with your family.
This isn’t a big editorial team or a content farm. It’s just me: one self-taught home cook, writing about food the way I actually cook it — tested in my own kitchen before it ever makes it onto this site.

1. My Story
I’ve been cooking for about two to three years now, and it started purely out of necessity. When I moved into a hostel, the street food nearby wasn’t something I could rely on — it was often unhygienic, and I didn’t want to keep eating food I couldn’t trust. So I started cooking for myself, learning mostly by watching videos online and following along step by step.
For the first year or two, cooking was simply something I did to feed myself properly. It’s only in the past year that I started turning it into this blog. Whenever a recipe turned out well in my own kitchen, I’d write it up and share it here — that’s still the rule I follow today. I don’t publish a recipe unless I’ve cooked it myself and I’m genuinely happy with how it came out.
When a recipe I share was inspired by a video or technique from another creator, I credit that source directly in the article. If their method is what made the dish work, readers deserve to know where it came from — it’s also just the honest thing to do.
My purpose with this site is simple: I’m not a trained chef and I’m not pretending to be one. I want to share recipes I’ve actually cooked and actually gotten good results from, written by someone learning the same way most home cooks do.

2. What You’ll Find on This Site
zaroraterishta.com covers a mix of everything I cook at home — Pakistani and South Asian dishes alongside other recipes I try out, plus straightforward cooking tips and basic nutrition information for the everyday home cook. I’m not trying to be everything to everyone; I write about food the way I actually make it, for people who want recipes that work in a real kitchen.
3. How I Create and Test Every Recipe
3.1. I cook every dish myself, often more than once, before it gets published.
3.2. I test recipes using ingredients that are commonly available in Pakistan, so the measurements and substitutions reflect what’s realistically available to most of my readers.
3.3. I note where results can vary — by stove, ingredient brand, or experience level — rather than promising identical results every time.
3.4. I sometimes use AI tools to help with research, structuring, or editing my drafts, but every recipe and every claim is based on my own cooking, and everything is reviewed by me before it’s published.
3.5. Where a recipe was inspired by a video or another creator’s technique, I credit that source directly in the article.
4. What This Site Is — and Isn’t
I’m a home cook, not a registered dietitian, nutritionist, or medical professional. Any nutrition information on this site is a general estimate, not professional dietary or medical advice. If you have food allergies, a medical condition, or specific dietary needs, please check with a qualified healthcare professional before relying on anything here. You can read more detail in our Terms and Conditions.
5. How This Site Is Supported
zaroraterishta.com is supported by display advertising (including Google AdSense and Mediavine) and, on some pages, affiliate links — meaning I may earn a small commission if you buy something through a link, at no extra cost to you. This never affects which recipes I write about or how I write about them. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
6. Get in Touch
Got a question, a correction, or just want to say a recipe worked out well for you? I read everything that comes in.
